About James Yount

Experienced financial executive James Yount became a Sales Manager in 1996 and has since become a highly successful Financial Consultant. James Yount currently travels throughout the United States to assist portfolio advisors and wire houses, enabling them to provide effective, high quality solutions to their clients. James Yount utilizes his Series 7, Series 24, and Series 63 security licenses and focuses primarily on the financial markets of New York and California. When in New York, James Yount enjoys spending his leisure hours running along beaches and reservoirs; while in California, James Yount spends his time-off rock climbing, camping, and hiking in Joshua Tree National Park with Vertical Adventures climbing guide Bob Gaines.

Jim Yount considers exercise a form of stress relief, as well as a way to stay physically active. Since the age of five, Jim Yount has made fitness an integral part of his life; he began swimming at the Indian Acres Swim Club in his hometown of Champaign, Illinois. Quickly becoming one of the strongest members on his school swim teams, Jim Yount began earning national titles by high school. Swimming took Jim Yount to Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, where he continued to break records and held the title of captain from his sophomore year through his senior year. Jim Yount earned induction into the Drury University Hall of Fame in 1999 for his accomplishments as a swimmer, which included leading the team to its first national championship.

Beyond his athletic achievements, James Yount also maintains a passion for artistic pursuits. Most recently, James Yount helped to create a coming-of-age film featuring actors Gabrielle Anwar, Kellan Lutz, and Ashley Greene. The movie, entitled Warrior, depicts a high school lacrosse player’s friendship with the Marine his father died to save in Iraq. James Yount served as both co-producer and story developer.

Never one to stop trying new things, Jim Yount also enjoys learning about cooking and baking in his spare time. Jim Yount particularly enjoys making cookies for his family during the holidays based on his late mother’s recipes. In the future, Jim Yount hopes to visit Italy to learn how to cook Italian fare.
